Quality in diecasting and plastic moulding

 

The Quality Policy has been defined and is documented to meet the organisational goals of the company, tailored to the production of pressure die castings and plastic injection mouldings to meet the needs and expectations of our customers.

We have developed a cultural obligation to comply with the requirements of the ISO 9001-2015 standard to which we are accredited, ensuring the continued improvement within our own operations system.

Quality Control plays a vital role at every manufacturing stage, be it pressure zinc die-casting, vibro polishing, sub contract finishing, plastic injection moulding or sub-assembly work.

Quality and Design discussions at the start of every project establish the criteria which are optimised throughout the Pressure Die-casting of Zinc and Injection Moulding of Thermoplastic materials.

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) ensures that FMEA plans are generated to meet the needs of individual customers together with documented control plans and work instructions for each project, including SPC where required. We also run ‘Mini-Tab’ and Lighthouse’ SPC software.

We have destructive and non-destructive testing capabilities with various metrology equipment including Mitutoyo M544 3-Axis Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), digital Mitutoyo projector and light box colour comparator.
Lesney Industries is committed to improvement and to meet in full, all of the quality requirements of our customers, and it follows that our commitment extends to the reliability and delivery of the die-cast or injection moulded products and associated services to ensure a successful and long term working relationship with all our customers. PPM figures and other KPIs are monitored and acted upon as part of this commitment.

Environmental Policy
Reduction of waste and minimising material usage makes economic sense as well as improving the environment. The 'Lesney Management Policy' is committed to the elimination of pollution and the saving of energy and fuel in every area of the company.

Recyclable packaging is developed with customers where practical to meet regulations and ensure best practice. Policies are continually reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with all current legislation and environmental requirements.
